What is your refund policy?
You can cancel at any time prior to the end of the campaign without being charged. After the campaign ends, but before the pledge manager closes, you can cancel your order for a 90% refund, which reflects the amounts taken by the various service providers. After the pledge manager closes you can cancel for a 75% refund, which reflects the additional expenses we have incurred in manufacturing and shipping items. We cannot promise a refund after shipping starts but will consider it on a case-by-case basis.

How does the shipping work on the Start Your Engine pledge level?
The Start your Engine pledge level gives access to many add-ons that have “free” shipping, due to their small size and low weight. There is a base shipping amount on the pledge level that covers a basic cost to pack a smaller package. Boxed expansions, such as Choppe Shoppe, have a per item incremental shipping, that covers the additional cost of the larger/heavier item added to the box.
You might consider switching to the Carnival of Chaos pledge (which gets a discount on the expansion, and a free Tina swag pack) and adding the expansion there. If you are in the US you will be able to purchase the expansion from our web store or conventions in the future.

Will Carnival of Chaos fit in the Maximum Chrome box?
We are offering a “box extender” as a free add-on that you can get in the pledge manager after the campaign is over. The box extender is a cardboard rectangle that is taller than the height of the box. You put it on the inside edge of the bottom box. Then, you can put the insert from Carnival of Chaos directly on top of the other inserts. When you put the box top back on, it sits on the extender, so the lid does not sit flush with the box bottom, but it will store everything neatly.
Alternatively, you can get the Folded Space insert as a paid add-on. This is a complete replacement for the Maximum Chrome and Carnival of Chaos inserts. It will fit all of the content in the regular box space, so the box top will sit flush with no lid lift. It has some other nice features, including images showing which components go where and individual car crew trays to facilitate setup.
You do NOT need both solutions. Choose the one that works best for you.

What is Backerkit?
They are a third-party service that lets us manage our orders and fulfillment and helps you to manage your pledge. This service starts after the Kickstarter campaign is over. At that time, you’ll be able to use the pledge manager to add items to your pledge and confirm your shipping address. If you’re not sure what you want to get during the Kickstarter campaign, you can back at the “Start Your Engine” level. This will give you access to the pledge manager and qualify you as a backer for any campaign extras.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
